NetFlix increased subscription charges once again to its users. It has been constantly bringing great entertaining contents to its users on regular updates. This time, Netflix increased the subscription charges in the US, Canada, Argentina and Portugal. It has previously increased its prices in October 2023.
Netflix announced the price change on some of its premium and standard plans in these countries. The charges will be applied according to plan tiers and will be effective from the next billing date.
Why Netflix Increased Subscription Charges?
Netflix said that it is planning to include more stuff in the US, Canada, Argentina and Portugal users. It will include more movies, TV shows and other features to enhance the user experience. The more enhancement leads to more expenses. So, the prices will slightly rise as Netflix will have to control the regional taxes and other expenses in those countries.
New Prices of Netflix Subscription
Netflix is adjusting the price hike according to the regional taxes in these countries. However, It is also trying to keep the charges to the minimum so a middle-class could afford it easily. Netflix subscription charges will be increased as per the tier of plans:

Basic Plan Price (Tier-1):
It is a Basic and Ad-based Netflix plan. The monthly price of this plan will be raised from $6.99 to $7.99

Standard Plan Price (Tier-2):
The price of this Standard Ad-free plan will be increased from $15.49 to $17.99 per month.

Premium Plan Price (Tier-3):
This is the best value Netflix plan with premium features. The price of this plan will also be increased from $22.99 to $24.99 per month.
The new prices will be applied from the next billing date to the users across these countries. There is a minimal increment of just $2 in the revised prices in the Netflix plans to make them affordable for all users.
