Huawei Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max and Mate 80 RS Master Edition Launched with many new hardware upgrades and software improvements. Huawei introduced these phones during a major China event. Each phone uses powerful Kirin processors and smooth HarmonyOS 6.0 software.

Every model offers strong cameras, big batteries, and durable displays for better daily use. Huawei also provides advanced charging features and many colour options for global buyers.

Huawei Mate 80 Series Design and Display

The new series offers two display sizes for different user needs. The Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro feature a 6.75-inch OLED display with LTPO technology for smooth motion. These screens support a 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and offer 2832 × 1280 pixels resolution. Huawei uses second-generation Kunlun Glass protection on both screens for better drop safety.

The Mate 80 Pro Max and Mate 80 RS Master Edition use larger 6.9-inch OLED displays with 2848 × 1320 pixels resolution. These displays also support LTPO adaptive refresh rates for smooth visuals in daily tasks.

The Pro Max uses second-generation Kunlun Glass, while the Master Edition uses stronger third-generation Basalt Kunlun Glass designed for tough daily conditions. Every phone includes high-frequency PWM dimming for comfortable viewing during long use.

Performance and Cameras

The new series runs smoothly on HarmonyOS 6.0 software built for fast and stable performance. The Mate 80 uses the Kirin 9020 Pro chipset. The Mate 80 Pro uses either the Kirin 9030 or the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset based on RAM choice.

The Mate 80 Pro Max uses the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset. The Mate 80 RS Master Edition also uses the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset for strong processing power. Memory options differ between models, with the Mate 80 offering up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The Mate 80 Pro brings up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The Mate 80 Pro Max offers 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The Master Edition brings 20GB RAM and up to 1TB storage for heavy users.

All phones include a 13MP selfie camera and a 3D depth sensing system that helps create secure face unlock and clear portrait selfies.

The rear camera systems vary between models to suit different users. The Mate 80 includes a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP periscope telephoto camera.

The Mate 80 Pro includes a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, and a 48MP telephoto macro camera. The Mate 80 Pro Max includes a 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP macro telephoto camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera.

The Master Edition carries the same advanced camera system as the Pro Max model. Each phone uses a second-generation red maple colour camera that improves colour accuracy in many lighting conditions.

Battery and Connectivity

The Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro include a 5750mAh battery built for long daily use. The Mate 80 supports 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.

The Mate 80 Pro supports 100W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 18W reverse charging. The Mate 80 Pro Max and Master Edition include a larger 6000mAh battery. Both phones support 100W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and strong reverse charging options including wired and wireless reverse support.

All models feature wide connectivity support including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS systems, BeiDou, Galileo, Glonass, NavIC, AGPS and QZSS. Huawei also includes many sensors and an IP68+IP69 rating for water and dust resistance across all models.
